But the reason we showed up was to see fellow M.O.T.A. members Brad Howard, Sam Markley and Travis Howard race. Seeing Brad and Sam fly over the sewer pipes side by side made for great entertainment. Watching the race was hard though, because you didn't know who to root for; Sam??, Brad???? Chris Zuroske???
No I ended up screaming for Pat Smage after all.
Tommi Ahvala Visits
World Famous Motorcycle Trials Champion Tommi Ahvala stopped by Michiana Trials Riders this past August to ride with the gang and bounce on Sam's tires. Tommi Ahvala was performing at the the Cass County Fair while the team was competing in the Eastside Trials Competition, so members made sure they stopped by when they heard Tommi was going to be in the area.
Tommi rode Sam's mountain bike trail to warm up and then they hit the wet logs. After a brief but heavy rain fall, every one moved to the Pit for some Steel Barrel Fun in the sun.
An Endurocross event this past August hosted in the Pepsi Coliseum at the Indiana State Fair Grounds offered a Trials Riders Class.
